How we handle your information

Perfect Computer ("we", "us") operates this website to sell second hand & refurbished laptops. We respect your privacy and collect only the information needed to fulfil orders and provide support. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's used.

What we collect

When you place an order

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Shipping address (line 1, line 2, city, state, pincode)
• GSTIN (only if you provide it for B2B invoicing)

Automatically

• Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamps) for security and abuse prevention. These are retained for up to 30 days unless required for an investigation.
• A session cookie used to keep your shopping cart between visits. The cart is stored in your browser's local storage and is not transmitted to us until you check out.

What we do not collect

• Payment card details. Card, UPI, and net-banking information is collected and processed entirely by Razorpay, our payment gateway. We never see, store, or log card numbers, CVVs, or UPI IDs.
• We do not run third-party advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or social pixels on our site at this time.

How we use your information

• To process your order, ship the unit, and send invoice/AWB emails.
• To call or message you for COD verification before dispatch.
• To handle warranty claims, returns, and customer support.
• To comply with tax and legal obligations (GST, accounting records).

Who we share it with

We share the minimum information needed with the following partners, and only for the purpose of fulfilling your order:

• Couriers (Shiprocket, Delhivery, Bluedart, etc.) — name, address, phone, weight/value of the parcel.
• Razorpay — name, email, phone, order amount, for payment processing.
• Email provider (Resend) — email address and order details, for transactional email delivery.
• Hosting and database providers (Vercel, Supabase) — encrypted at rest and in transit; located in approved regions.
• Government authorities — when legally required (tax audits, court orders, regulatory compliance).

We never sell or rent your information to third parties for marketing or any other purpose.

How long we keep it

• Order, invoice, and customer records: 8 years, as required by Indian tax law.
• Server logs: 30 days unless required for an active investigation.
• Marketing emails: never — we don't send marketing emails. Only transactional emails tied to your order are sent.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

• Show you what information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Delete your account and personal data — subject to records we're legally required to keep (e.g. GST invoices).

Security

• The site is served entirely over HTTPS.
• Database access is restricted by row-level security; only the owner allowlisted email can read order or customer data via the admin interface.
• Payment information never touches our servers — it is handled by Razorpay's PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure.
• We follow reasonable security practices and procedures as defined under the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies — a session cookie that authenticates admin logins, and your cart stored in localStorage. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.

Children

Our products and services are intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated via email to anyone with an active order at the time.
